A ready-to-use milk based caramel filling bursting with exceptional flavour.

It was in 1829, the period in which Argentina under went serious civil wars, that Dulce de Leche was born.

On July 17th, a very tired General Lavalle arrived at the camp of General Rosas to discuss some pending issues.  While waiting for General Rosas, General Lavalle fell into a deep sleep on teh bed of General Rosas. Meanwhile, the cook came in and started preparing the "lechada" (milk and sugar warmed up in a pot) for the tired and hungry soldiers.  She was so suprised, she froze with fear when seeing their enemy's General asleep in her master's bed.  She had forgotten all about her "lechada" that by the time she remembered, it had turned into a light brown coloured cream which was thick and sweet.  There was only one soldier brave enough and hungry enough who tried it and so they found out how excellent this product turned out to be.
