To give our partners absolute peace of mind, we guarantee the consistency of our products. We use the strictest traceability systems available to make sure everything we produce has predictable and guaranteed characteristics.
In April 1987, the Puratos Group established local operations in Canada. Working in synergy with our head office, under strict quality standards, the range of products offered over the years has grown from bread improvers to bread bases, bread mixes, cake mixes, custards, mousses, a complete range of high quality glazes and fillings, chocolates, ganaches, and ready-to-use pastry products. Most of these products are manufactured locally on dedicated production lines to meet local needs, tastes and preferences.
Over the last 15 years we have grown rapidly along with our customers and partners. Consequently, Puratos Canada Inc has undergone a great deal of expansion, moving into larger facilities, expanding its testing facilities, and production capacities in various areas to accommodate ever increasing demand.
In our path to growth, we have ensured that the quality of our innovations and products is never compromised.
AIB - Superior Rating for Puratos Canada Inc.
Evidence of our continued emphasis on quality is our attainment of a 'superior' rating by AIB's (American Institute of Baking) Food Safety Audit in 2004. We successfully maintained this rating in 2005.
ISO 9001 certified
The Puratos Group has developed its own integrated quality control system that has been certified to ISO 9001 level. Traceability is one tremendously important pillar of this system. Hazard Analysis by Critical Control Points (HACCP) is another, allowing us to continually monitor the potential risks that can occur during production.
BRC certified
Many of our factories meet or surpass the standards set by the British Retail Council (BRC) - a UK authority with some of the world's toughest criteria.
Respect for international regulation
At the Group's headquarters, an entire department is dedicated to monitoring the development of laws relating to the food industry. Puratos guarantees that all legislation is adhered to, everywhere in the world.
